One of the biggest obstacles I faced with sewing this year for my own family, is that although I get such enjoyment sewing beautiful clothing, there has been very little opportunity to wear the nice clothes. I guess I am slightly to blame. If I would visit the mall with both children more often, I could dress the kids up. However, my kids live in jeans, t-shirts and knit clothing. Olivia had a closet full of beautiful clothing this summer, and I thank god we went to California for two months, because I had ample opportunities to get her dressed there. In Florida, the opposite was true. Flip-flops is the name of the game here.
I know that as a mom, now is my time to dress her as I want. One day - and that day will come - I will have little to say in what my little Ms. Muffet will wear. So, I am always on the lookout for "PP" clothing - Practical and Pretty. One of my favorite sources for kids clothing is Hanna Anderson. I love knits, and their clothing is so soft and so perfect.
