Yes, I have been cleaning the house, and rearranging furniture in order to find a wonderful place for my sons new bunk bed, and in the process thinking about ways to spruce up my house. I just love to decorate and the fact that I can turn a few minor pieces into expensive looking furniture with just a brush and paint always gets my blood flowing. Some inspirational blogs that I have been reading lately include Yvestown and yesterday I dropped in on ModKidboutique who just redecorated her sewing room. Love the red.
Before I left my house in Louisiana, I took it upon myself to redecorate my kitchen. It had a whitewash finish. Sort of blah, and I thought it would be a great idea to paint it completely white. I think there is a definite difference.
I also took an old pedestal table and painted it white and blue. A scandinavian look.
So now I have this wooden armoire in my sewing room and since the room is sort of open to my Living Room, I have to stick to either yellow, green or red. The pedestal table in the kitchen (above photo) is definitely going to get a new white coat of paint, or I may just paint it yellow. New chairs will come into the picture too. Just have to find the time to get this all done. Oh come on, let me dream.
